...and ask yourself if the practice of 'one-topic-for-all-of-debate'
constitutes, what malcolm gladwell calls, an 'obsession with universals'.
...then think about the following suggestion (a bridge between the status
quo framework and future diversity) -- if we assume there's three clustered
pluralities in debate (perhaps i'm wrong here?), then debaters will have the
opportunity to choose between three narrowly-tailored topics: one more
legal, one more policy-oriented, and one more intellectual.
