if you would like to make a statement against president bush's commutation of scooter libby here's one way.
http://www.dscc.org/makeadifference/petitions/20070702_libby.htm
libby is the cheney aide who was found guilty of obstructing justice into whether cheney and bush and rove and other bush administration officials illegally released a cia operative's identity to penalize her husband for criticizing the impending war against iraq. bush, with the stroke of a pen, removed his jail sentence. joseph wilson, the war critic, said last night that the president was now participating in the "obstruction of justice."
two other things on this:
1. bush has explicitly not ruled out a full pardon.
2. in doing this, this administration has hit nixonian levels of corruption. do something wrong? just pardon whoever gets blamed.
