May be our Cyclone's grandfather.

I'm not sure of his age, he is probably 80+ now, an emeritus histry 
professor at Wake.

He has wide ranging scholarly interests as an Amazon author search reveals.

University (self published, Rev. ed edition (January 1, 1992))

and

County government of Oklahoma (1947)

IF, that is, these are both by the same Cyclone Covey.

I think he was born during a tornado . . .
