Here are the World Schools Debating Championship results from Cardiff,
Wales UK. 35 Nations are battling it out for global high school debate
supremacy.
Pakistan and Scotland emerged as top of the pack with Ireland and South
Africa in close pursuit. All four teams remained undefeated. New Zealand
and host Wales hang back at 5-1, each with 13 ballots.
There were some stunning victories in the results of round five, including:
England over Australia 3-0
South Africa scraping it out against Canada 2-1
Scotland putting a stop to the Singapore juggernaut 3-0.
There were also some interesting results in round six:
Canada got by Australia 2-1
Slovenia overcame Bermuda 2-1 to get back in contention
South Africa whacked England 3-0 (after England overcame Australia 3-0)
New Zealand gave Singapore a bad day 3-0
