The IMPACT Coalition is looking for outstanding individuals who know how to
get things done to join our team. Millions of young people grow up without a
thirst for learning. Failing schools, crumbling communities and a lack of
public commitment create the perfect storm for today's young people to abandon
hope. Even the select few who find a positive situation are often ripped from
that situation due to changes in family circumstances. IMPACT works to
restore that thirst for learning by sharing the power of debate and promoting its
use in classrooms, communities, prisons and places of worship so that young
people rediscover their voices and can regain hope.

The Improving Mentor Practices and Communication Techniques (IMPACT)
Coalition is a mentoring and educational development organization that expands
opportunities for urban students, schools and organizational partners by providing
debate training, literacy assistance, curricula, and mentoring services to
develop informed, concerned citizens. IMPACT advocates debate as a key to success
in building healthier communities and tomorrow's leaders. Visit our website
at www.impactcoalition.org for more information. IMPACT also serves as host to
the Associated Leaders of Urban Debate (ALOUD) who partners with debate
communities nationwide in twenty cities and directs a national partnership of
twenty cities to promote debate.

All public policy change begins with the power of a single individual to
persuade another that they have a good idea. Help inspire young minds to become
active change agents through the power of debate.
